While the Nazis are trying to find the Ark of the Covenant, it’s up to archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones to find it first. One of the best action films back in the 80’s with spectacular cinematography, great supporting characters, and a wonderful hero to root for. Steven Spielberg spent a great amount of time and thought to make this beloved film. Harrison Ford is the only actor to play Indiana just like Bruce Willis is the only actor to play John McClane in the Die Hard trilogy. Karen Allen as Indy’s love interest is so wonderful to see onscreen because they have so much chemistry but they also have a bad past. The rest of the cast is just as great surprisingly. The action is phenomenal and leaves audiences on the edge of their seat with chase scenes, shootouts, and hand to hand combat. Of course when a movie does so great, directors and writers always want to make a sequel and this spawned three. The others are not as good but The Last Crusade is so close. Stay away from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!! Sadly directors don’t make films like this anymore but no one can beat this action film. Everyone should see it and enjoy the adventure. Verdict: 10.
